Troost-Ekong was born in the Netherlands to a family of mixed Dutch and Nigerian heritage. This unique background endowed him with the eligibility to represent both nations at the international level.

Club Career

From there, he was subsequently loaned out to a Norwegian club, FK Haugesund where he continued to hone his skills.

Italian Serie A

His career trajectory took him to the Turkish Süper Lig club Bursaspor in July 2017 before landing a deal with Italian Serie A side Udinese in August 2018.

Troost-Ekong’s tenure at Udinese saw him emerge as a stalwart in defense, showcasing his capabilities against formidable opponents like AC Milan and Juventus.
