The bill to play the previous national anthem again has been passed into law by President Bola Tinubu.
As part with the constitutional stipulations, President Tinubu signed the proposal on Wednesday morning, making it a law.
This was revealed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio to lawmakers during the present National Assembly joint session.
The law aims to replace the existing song with the one that was first established on October 1, 1960, to mark the country’s independence, but was altered by the military administration of Olusegun Obasanjo in 1978.

The law was passed last Thursday by the House of Representatives and by the Senate on Tuesday.
During the joint session, the Senate President encouraged Nigerians to become acquainted with the recently adopted national song.
The newly composed national anthem was sung as soon as President Tinubu arrived the House chamber for the joint session.
