The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) has vehemently rejected the recent BBC documentary on its late founder, Prophet TB Joshua.
In an official statement signed by Dare Adejumo, the church’s Public Affairs Director, SCOAN declared the documentary as unfounded, highlighting that the individuals interviewed in the report were unknown to the church.
Describing the documentary as a departure from ethical journalism, SCOAN criticized the BBC for compromising fairness, balance, and objectivity. The church accused the BBC of engaging in fictional narratives and propaganda, turning itself into a tool for a hatchet job against a perceived enemy.
According to the management of the Synagogue, the documentary lacks credibility and has insulted the public’s intelligence by presenting what it deems offensive and disenchanted reports from disgruntled individuals. The church defended TB Joshua’s legacy, asserting that hundreds of BBC reports cannot diminish the indelible footprints of his impact on the world.
SCOAN challenged the BBC’s investigative approach, questioning why the broadcasting station did not directly engage with the church to gain firsthand experience. The church accused the interviewees of being manipulated individuals, some with no prior connection to SCOAN.

The statement also expressed gratitude that the BBC’s report exonerated TB Joshua’s only wife from any wrongdoing over the decades. However, it questioned the logic behind the interviewees’ sudden awakening after the pastor’s passing.
The synagogue labeled the BBC’s statements as illogical, irritating, incomprehensible, unfathomable, and satanically dubious and malicious. SCOAN asserted that the report was akin to calling a dog a bad name so it could be hanged.
SCOAN urged the public to focus on the positive impacts of TB Joshua’s ministry, emphasizing the countless individuals who claim to have received miracles and benefited from his anointing.
