On Thursday, the coronation of Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye as the 21st Soun of Ogbomosoland kicked off with an N150 million empowerment programme.
The programme benefitted 102 individuals chosen from Ogo-Oliwa, Surulere, Ogbomoso North, and South local government areas.
The recipients were presented with a diverse range of vital items, including sewing machines, industrial sewing machines, deep freezers, motorcycles, generators, and hair dryers.

This significant benevolence marks just one facet of the week-long celebration leading to Oba Olaoye’s official presentation of the Staff of Office by the State Governor, Seyi Makinde, set for Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
