Pochettino, 52, took charge of Chelsea on 1 July, signing a two-year contract with the option of a further year.
The Argentine came under fire after an underwhelming first half of the season but led the London side to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League with the possibility of a place in the Europa league.
Chelsea also finished as runners-up in the Carabao Cup and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Pochettino said “Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and sporting directors for the opportunity.
“The club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.”
He is the third manager to be sacked, since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital bought the club in May 2022, following Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter.
Sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley said “On behalf of everyone at Chelsea, we would like to express our gratitude to Mauricio for his service this season.
“He will be welcome back to Stamford Bridge any time and we wish him all the very best in his future coaching career.”
Coaches Jesus Perez, Miguel d’Agostino, Toni Jimenez and Sebastiano Pochettino have also confirmed their departure.
This definitely comes unexpected to fans as Chelsea had finished the season very strongly under Pochettino winning the last five games of the season, a feat which helped propel them to European qualification.
Of course, Pochettino had mentioned multiple times that it won’t just be the Chelsea owners who will be judging Pochettino but it will also be Pochettino who will be judging the Chelsea hierarchy and it seems, a common ground could not be reached.
