An Abia State University lecturer, identified as Anucha Wisdom has, yesterday, dropped to one knee and proposed to his girlfriend in her classroom.
The pictures and videos of the proposal have since gone viral on social media, showing Wisdom professing his love to his fiancée, who was reported to be a student in the Optometry Department.
Witnessed by her stunned classmates, the proposal elicited both cheers and murmurs.
An online user, identified as Possible Nwaohamuo, took to Facebook to share the news, stating, “Note he didn’t just find love outside his terrine but inside his territory! Lecturer and student love! Congratulations boss.”
While some expressed support for the couple’s love story, others voiced concerns over ethical boundaries.
Amidst the social media buzz, the lecturer himself has remained silent on the matter, as his Facebook page showed no mention of the proposal at the time of reporting.
