Oyo To Recruit 7000 Teachers, 100 Caregivers

The Oyo State government to recruit 7,000 teachers for public primary schools and 100 caregivers for special schools across its 33 local governments.

The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, announced this during a press conference in Ibadan, Oyo state on Friday.

He said, “The preliminary work has commenced, and we have made the details public.”

This exercise according to him is important to fill up the vacancies in our primary schools and special education centers in the state.

Expressing the commitment of Oyo state to fair distribution, Dr. Adeniran disclosed that the recruitment process would be done local government by local government to ensure those employed  work within their respective areas.

Applicants must be residents of the local government where they intend to work.

Those who falsely claim to belong to a different local government will not be considered,” he clarified.

He also warned would-be applicants to be wary of fraudsters. “All necessary information regarding the recruitment process will be made public. We urge applicants to come directly to the SUBEB office for accurate information. No one has been mandated  to collect any money from applicants during this process,” he warned.

Adeniran therefore assured that the recruitment would be strictly based on merit.
