Gordon, seizing the opportunity from Kieran Trippier’s precise delivery across the six-yard box, not only secured the win but also elevated Newcastle to 5th place.

Unfortunately, the evening took a somber turn for Newcastle as goalkeeper Nick Pope was forced off with a shoulder injury in the final six minutes.
The club is yet to confirm the extent of his injury.
