PIn an ongoing saga surrounding the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, his management has initiated legal suit against his father, Joseph Aloba.
The management, represented by lawyer Bankole Falade, has filed a N200 million defamation suit against Mohbad’s father, following his claims about an alleged thumbprint-only will left behind by the late singer.
The dispute emerged when Joseph Aloba, in an interview with TVC, asserted that his late son had left behind a will with only a thumbprint and no signature.
In response to the statements made by Mohbad’s father, the management has taken legal action, demanding a retraction of what they consider “slanderous” remarks and a public apology.
The lawsuit stipulates that the retraction must be published on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, for three consecutive days. Additionally, Mohbad’s father is required to publish an apology letter on Instablognaija on Instagram and Punch newspaper within 14 days.
The legal documents state that failure to comply with these demands within the specified timeframe will prompt the management to pursue further legal suit, including seeking redress in court.
The legal suit also includes a monetary component, with a demand for payment of N200 million as compensation for defamation.
