Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo criticized Reno Omokri, a former media advisor to former President Goodluck Jonathan, for bringing up Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi in relation to actor Mr. Ibu’s deteriorating health.

GPM reported on Wednesday, October 18, that Mr. Ibu, who is suffering a disease that has not been identified but could cost him his leg, published a video pleading for help from the public to receive quality medical attention.
In response to Ibu’s video, Reno demanded that Peter Obi pay for the actor’s medical bills, asserting that Ibu had endorsed and supported him during the general elections of 2023.
In a film posted on his Instagram profile on Thursday, Kanayo responded to Omokri’s post by denouncing it and calling him wicked.
“As actors, our thoughts are with our cherished colleague, Mr. Ibu. Since it was announced last year tghta he has been ill, his family has made every effort.
They have since stated that although we did our best, we still need the public’s support.
Now that Reno Omokri is coming to call Peter Obi’s name and other things, I strongly oppose him. It is not a kind gesture. It’s evil. And to Uche Maduagwu, who spoke about how great actors should be ashamed. Shame on you as well because you lack the worth and ability to disparage us.
Supporting a coworker is something that you do on your own. Actors Guild of Nigeria comes to represent it collectively. Remember that some people learn to contribute privately and individually.
