In a revelation on the latest episode of Channels Television’s program, Rubbin’ Minds, popular social media commentator Daniel Regha has exposed the harrowing reality of receiving death threats for his outspoken comments on various issues.
“It’s like walking on eggshells,” Regha confessed during the interview with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
“Whenever I stepped out of the house, I’m always on nose mask because I don’t know who I am going to meet in public and would be like, ‘Finally, I’ve caught you.'”
The severity of the threats, Regha emphasized, extends beyond mere words on a screen:
“I get threats a lot. Of recent, some people told me that they are going to shoot me if they see me in Lagos, Ibadan, or Benin. They even put R.I.P emojis, some even put guns and axes. It’s scary sometimes. But I just pray and ask God for protection.”

Despite his polarizing online persona, Regha vehemently denies being a troll. “I’m not a troll. Definitely not!” he asserted when probed about his motives.
Recall that the social media influencer recently won the Jude Lucan 2023 Social Media Force (Influencer of The Year).
The influencer emerged victorious over notable figures such as Big Brother Naija All Stars edition winner, Odiniya Ilebaye, former Big Brother Naija housemate, Anita Akide, aka Tacha, Mayor of Ekiti, B.O.D Republic, and VERYDARKMAN.
Making the announcement on his page on X, formerly known as Twitter, Regha shared his excitement.
He tweeted: “Excited to have won the Social Media Force (Influencer of The Year) at the Jude Lucan Awards 2023.”
