Gov. Sanwo-Olu Announces Inauguration of Committee on Welfare

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced the inauguration of the Lagos State Special Dispensation ‘Palliative’ Advisory Committee in Lagos, Nigeria.

On Saturday, the governor shared on his X handle, noting that the committee will be responsible for Lagos State welfare packages and a dual-win feeding strategy, amongst other direct intervention initiatives.

He said: “I am pleased to announce the inauguration of the Lagos State Special Dispensation ‘Palliative’ Advisory Committee, responsible for our welfare packages and dual-win feeding strategy, amongst other direct intervention initiatives.

He added that the committee comprises members from major stakeholder groups across Lagos who are committed to transparency and merit.

However, he said that the various stakeholders “bring diverse expertise, and their work will be guided by the principles of empathy, and dignity as we strive to make a significant impact in serving our people.”
