Ogun State Executive Council, under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, has approved seven significant projects in the state including rehabilitating the Abule Egba-Ota/Sango-Abeokuta Expressway.
In a statement on Sunday, Kayode Akinmade, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, announced the reconstruction of six major roads, including the Abule Egba-Ota/Sango-Abeokuta Expressway.
Additionally, the governor also sanctioned the equipment purchase for Gateway Agro-Cargo International Airport.
The approved road projects include the reconstruction of the 5.5km Ode Remo Junction to Sapade (phase 3) and Adesan Street, off Mowe-Ofada road in Obafemi Owode Local Government, including the rehabilitation of Ayepe Junction to Mayflower in Ikenne Local Government.
Other projects are structural adjustments for the 19.2km Atan-Lusada-Agbara road in Ado Odo/Ota Local Government and the construction of Hospital Road, Ogijo, in Sagamu Local Government.

Akinmade emphasized that these projects aim to boost infrastructure while enhancing road connectivity across the state.
According to his statement, acquiring machinery and equipment for Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport at Ilishan Remo will facilitate 24-hour flight operations and streamline airport services.
Meanwhile, following recent rainfall-induced flooding, palliative work has been approved for the Iyana Ilogbo bus stop, along the Abule Egba-Ota/Sango-Abeokuta Expressway.
