On the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities, Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has conveyed a sincere message of solidarity towards those triumphing over obstacles posed by disabilities.

Governor Yahaya, in a heartfelt statement, reiterated his dedication to promoting inclusive policies that advocate for diversity, equity, and empowerment for everyone.

“We remain resolute in our commitment to providing necessary support for the empowerment and dreams of our PWDs,” the governor said, disclosing ongoing efforts to establish an agency that will catere for the unique needs and welfare of the PWD community.

The proposed bill for the agency has garnered full attention and support, with assurances from the governor that swift action will follow its submission and passage by the State House of Assembly.

Governor Inuwa praised the strength and resilience exhibited by the disability community in Gombe State, calling for continued support and loyalty to his administration’s inclusive initiatives.

“We renew our resolve to champion inclusivity, celebrate diversity, and continue our collective journey towards a more supportive society,” Governor Inuwa assured.
