The cargo, dispatched by STASCO, comprised one million barrels sourced from the Agbami oil field and navigated its course to the Dangote Refinery’s Single Point Mooring (SPM). At this juncture, the cargo was efficiently discharged into the refinery’s crude oil tanks, signifying the commencement of a strategic alliance between Dangote Refinery and a consortium of suppliers.

This initial shipment, constituting one million barrels, represents the preliminary phase of a more extensive arrangement which entails the supply of six million barrels of crude oil to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

This infusion of raw material is poised to sustain the facility’s initial processing capacity of 350,000 barrels per day. The subsequent four shipments are slated to be provided by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) within the upcoming two to three weeks, culminating in the final delivery by ExxonMobil, and completing the slated six shipments.
