This night, January 1 2024, a number of armed men stormed Akwanga area to abduct Safiyanu Isa Andaha, the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, while having fun with friends.

An eye witness account revealed that the council chairman and one other have recently been taken away this night at a beer joint in Ningo village along Andaha – Akwanga Road, alongside a native of the area, by unknown gunmen.
The police authority also confirmed the incident, and they have started scouting for the armed kidnappers in collaboration with other security personnel in the state. They however ensure the public of the arrest of perpetrators and the release of the two victims who were abducted.
