As controversy trails the release of autopsy result conducted on the body of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, failing to unearth the cause of his death, wife of the late singer, Wunmi, has called on the deceased not to sleep in death.
There have been speculations that attempt are being made to cover up Mohbad’s autopsy report.
A senior lawyer, Wahab Shittu, had yesterday disclosed that the toxicology test carried out on the late music star revealed that his cause of death could not be ascertained.
Shittu stated this while addressing journalists after the coroner’s inquest in Lagos.
Disclosing this, he explained that the pathologist, in his submission in court, said that at the time the test was carried out, the body of the singer had already decomposed.
“According to him (the pathologist in charge), the cause of death cannot be determined.
“He gave a lot of reasons. He said by the time they conducted the test, the body had decomposed and that it is not possible for them to determine the cause of death. So the summary he is saying is that the cause of death cannot be ascertained and when you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear, no particular reason.”
The lawyer equally quoted the pathologist as stating that another cause of the death could be attributed to a reaction to certain drugs administered to him before he died.
Reacting to the report on her Instagram page, Wunmi, the wife of Mohbad said in a short statement in Yoruba language, “Ilerioluwa masun,” meaning in English “Ilerioluwa do not sleep“.
Recall that on the 12 September, 2023, Nigerians were thrown into mourning following the death Mohbad.
The musician who died at the age of 27 was administered with a tetanus vaccine by a self acclaimed medical nurse, who was later found out, after she was arrested by the police, to be unlicensed.
His death was later allegedly linked to Naira Marley and Sam Harry, both of whom denied the allegations.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others were on October 6 arraigned and remanded over their alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
They were later granted bail in a magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos. The coroner’s quest was instituted to know the cause of his death.
