The GOP Senators have requested, in a letter written to President Joe Biden of the United States of America on December 1, 2023, that any possibility of travel between the US and the People’s Republic of China be placed on indefinite hold in order to help the country contain possible danger posed by the unknown respiratory disease currently bedeviling China and its peoples.

As content of the letter, the Senators call on the president of America, President Joe Biden, to immediately restrict travel between America and PRC. They also remind the president of the dishonesty with which the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is known when it comes to “public health crises”.
In their explanation to convince the president with what ensued during the COVID-19 pandemic, they point his attention to how “the CCP’s obfuscation of the truth, and lack of transparency robbed the United States of vital knowledge about the disease and its origin.”
Hence, Senator J. D. Vance and Senator Marco Rubio of the United states of America direct the president to the criticisms which were roused up against President Trump’s restriction order at the inception of the COVID-19 outbreak in January 31, 2020, and how yielding to such criticisms almost cost the world.
As evidence of the hazard and dangers wreaked by the outbreak then, it is indeed unarguable how no one would easily forget and ask for the recurrence of the quagmire into which Covid-19 plunged the whole world in 2020. Apart from the fact that it put every market to a stop, the pandemic successfully drained the coffers of several world organizations including individuals and families. Now, rumors of another outbreak!
Moving forward, they admit that though it was reported that the disease is a special hazard for children, yet hospitals in China are overrun by it with evidences of ailing adults and children.
This further confirms that even as WHO who had requested that the CCP share “detailed information”, it cannot be relied on; for it is also to be known that the “CCP has an incentive to lie…that means we should immediately restrict travel between the United States and the PRC until we know more about the dangers posed by this new illness,” explains the GOP Senators.
The countries currently hit by the ‘mysterious pneumonia’ are China, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, UK, and USA, while other neighboring countries are on alert.
