Last two years, Kunle Afolayan hit us with another one of his dynamic theatrical expressions of talents and aesthetics, Anikulapo.

A film, which through its strongly philosophical underpinnings, left so much in the minds and on the mouths of its audience.
Indeed, we had a deep feel of the blockbuster – Anikulapo – despite the fact that it was a plain portrayal of the Yoruba rich culture in ancient times.
And, with the interplay of two opposing ideas that are primarily concerned with settling contemporary relationship standards, the award-winning creative release did not fail to leave out a question mark (?) on the minds of its audience.
The “Answer”
While splitting the audience into two schools of thoughts, much of the satisfaction and dissatisfaction, which Anikulapo had left trailing the exit of its first release, have called out for a second version of the film.
A version — that can have the bold needle to pierce and deflate bubbles of questions and controversies steaming around the first production (since September 30, 2022).
Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre!
Recently, the international theatre icon, Kunle Afolayan, who has from the days of Saworo-Ide stamped his reputation as a highly talented Nigerian actor, producer, and director, took to his Instagram page to announce the birth of yet another version of the great epic, Anikulapo.
On one of the posters he posted is inscribed the title of the new version, Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.
This, no doubt, will be the answer to the couple of questions the first film had left unanswered!!!
Release Date
While he did not specify the release date of the new film, he however tagged the names of its cast, which features both old and new characters.
