A splurge of rage has caused a 45-year-old Indonesian man to reportedly kill his 60-year-old neighbor after repeated taunts about marital status.

The unfortunate incident, according to reports, occurred on July 29, 2024, in South Tapanuli regency, North Sumatra.
In a statement released by Assistant Police Commissioner, Maria Marpaung, the alleged assailant, Parlindungan Siregar, is said to have been showing repeated frustrations at the frequent taunts that led to the murder of the victim, Asgim Irianto.
GOLDENPAGE MAGAZINE reports that Irianto’s repeated questions about why Siregar was not yet married allegedly cost him his life.
Narrating the event that led to the murder, Irianto’s wife stated: “Siregar arrived at our home armed with a piece of wood and launched a sudden, violent attack on my husband.
“Irianto attempted to flee into the street, but Siregar pursued him and delivered a fatal blow to his head. Despite Irianto collapsing, Siregar continued the assault until other residents intervened.”
Observers however confirmed that the victim, Irianto, was immediately rushed to the hospital, but could not make to the place due to his fatal injuries.
The assailant was arrested shortly after the attack. Authorities believe the motive behind the brutal act was linked to Mr Parlindungan’s irritation over the repeated inquiries into his marital status.

Following the assault, Siregar was taken into custody, and authorities have begun investigations into the matter.
