AFCON: Super Eagles to reach milestone against Guinea Bissau

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play their 100th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) game when they face Guinea Bissau.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will hit a major milestone when they face Guinea Bissau tomorrow in their last group match of the AFCON in Abidjan.

It is more than making a conscious effort at reaching the knock-out stage as it will also be Nigeria’s 100th AFCON match since the maiden 6-3 loss to Egypt in Kumasi on 24 November 1963.

Nigeria will become the fourth team to accomplish this feat after Egypt with 109, Ghana with 104, and current host nation Cote d’Ivoire with 101.

Nigera defeated the host Ivory Coast earlier last week and will trade tackles with Guinea-Bissau in their last group A game on Monday at 6:00 pm.

The super eagles of Nigeria will hope to defeat Guinea Bissau tomorrow as it will help to finalize their qualification into the round of sixteen.

With the victory over host nation Ivory Coast the hope for Nigeria to qualify is very good compared to that of the host nation anyways it will surely be a group decider on Monday.
