President Bola Tinubu has named Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Governing Council.
On Thursday, appointment of Minister Ekpo was announced in a signed statement by President Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
The statement read: “In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).”

However, Ngelale underscored the President’s dedication to ensuring efficient oversight of the country’s gas resources through the appointment.
Similarly, he stated that the appointment of Ekpo aligns with Tinubu’s vision to harness Nigeria’s vast gas potential for industrial growth, job creation, and sustainable economic advancement.
With expectations for effective performance from the newly appointed State for Petroleum Resources Minister, President Tinubu however looks forward to progressive changes that will aid national development.
