Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has issued a fervent appeal for a comprehensive review of the 2024 budget, stressing the need for a strategic reallocation of resources to address pressing national challenges.

Amidst mounting controversies surrounding the allocation of resources in the 2024 budget, Peter Obi urged both the executive and legislative arms of government to swiftly initiate the review process. He underscored the urgency of the situation, calling for immediate action to redirect funds towards vital sectors.
“The Executive and Legislative arms should initiate an immediate review of the budget as it is still in early days of implementation in order to enable them to do urgent virement of resources to critical areas,” stated the Labor Party Presidential Candidate
Highlighting the dire state of affairs in Nigeria, Obi emphasized the need for substantial investments in security to combat escalating threats, as well as measures to alleviate poverty and ensure food security for the populace.
