In the spirit of victory flowing through the bone marrow of Nigerians, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Abiodun, applauded the Super Eagles for defending their names against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
According to the governor via his X handle, it took the Super Eagles skills and determination to beat their opponent.
“A huge round of applause goes to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for showcasing an outstanding display of skill and determination against South Africa’s formidable Bafana Bafana,” Abiodun said.

However, he stressed that the Nigerian team showcased exceptional performance, which secured them the rightful position in the final match of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
He acknowledged that it is time for Nigerians to unite their spirits and bring the prestigious cup back to our beloved nation.
The match, which lasted 120 minutes, was halted in one round each against Bafana Bafana of South Africa. It ended in penalties, with Nigeria gaining victory over the South Africa national football team.
