In a somber turn of events, veteran Nollywood actor Dejumo Lewis, renowned for his iconic role in the ‘Village Headmaster’ series, has passed away at the age of 80. The sad news was confirmed by fellow actor Saidi Balogun in an Instagram post.ll

Balogun shared a heartfelt tribute, saying, “Good night DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.”
While the circumstances of Lewis’ passing remain undisclosed, Balogun’s announcement has sparked an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues in the film industry.
Also known as Listen by those who were his fans back in the 1970s up till the very moment of his prime.
Dejumo Lewis played the role of Kabiyesi in ‘The Village Headmaster,’ Nigeria’s longest-running television soap opera from 1968 to 1988.
Lewis, celebrated for his memorable performances in films like “A Place in the Stars” (2014), “Crossroads” (2020), and “Power of 1” (2018), leaves behind a rich legacy in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
