As the fight against cybercrime continues, the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said the 39 suspected Internet fraudsters arrested would be charged in court after the completion of investigation process.
On the verified X account of the EFCC today, it was stated that the commission had made the arrest at several locations within Benin City on Wednesday.
According to the statement, it was revealed that investigation was ongoing and that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The commission described that the arrest was made “following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in computer-related fraud.”
Furthermore, items obtained from the suspected internet fraudsters included eight exotic cars: two Mercedes-Benz GLK 350, two Mercedes-Benz C300, two Lexus RX350, Toyota Camry, Lexus ES350, and laptops with phones.
