Following the unprecedented release by a foreign magazine, Times Higher Education, here is a shortlisted form of the 10 Best universities in the world in 2024.
This information about the World’s Best Universities marks the release of another edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, which features Britain’s Oxford University in the first position.
While Stanford University takes the second place as the only top ranked U.S. university, the 2024 THE feat will make it the eighth time for Britain’s Oxford university in consecutive arrangement.
With the inclusion of over 1,904 universities from the 1,799 that were engaged last year across 108 countries and regions, the 20th edition ranking, having assessed research-intensive universities using 18 performance indicators, covered their core missions of teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and internationalization, is able to pick 10 Best universities in the world:

1. Oxford University.
Oxford university is very old, roughly 922 years old. Making it the second oldest university in the world. It is beaten in age by the university of bologna which is around 930 years old.
It was founded in 1263 by John Ballilol. It is said that Mr Ballilol paid for it to be built as a punishment for insulting the Bishop of Durham.
2. Stanford University
Stanford is known for being the academic home of 22 living Nobel Laureates, five Pulitzer Prize winners and three recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Stanford is simply impressive all around.
It was founded as the Leland Stanford Junior University back in 1885 by Jane and Leland Stanford in memory of their child who died at the very young age of 15. They had a lingering desire to create a place where other people’s children could thrive and bloom, to receive the finest education possible in one of the state’s best private colleges.
Putting their wealth to use, they created the school, little did they know it would grow to become one of the world’s most prestigious universities.
3. Massachusetts Institute of Technology

The University of Cambridge as we know it is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Founded in 1209, the university is the 2nd oldest in the world and the 4th oldest surviving university.

6. Princeton University
